I absolutely loved making the ‘Modern Blossom’ Quilt Pattern, every time I made a new block I just loved it even more.
I found there were so many possibilities to show off my favourite fabrics in really appealing combinations.
This led me to design a new pattern using these same blocks but adding in some cute buds and leaves, all using the same templates.
Making it a garden setting was the icing on the cake.
I used all of my favourite Kaffe Fassett fabric.
This quilt uses fat quarters, fat eighths and fat sixteens, so its a great pattern to use all of your favourite fat quarters you have been hoarding, just waiting for that perfect project.
There is a little bit of appliqué and you can choose which method you want to appliqué the little circles onto the quilt top.
I have instructions for the raw edge method in the pattern.
I think this is a really fun quilt and a great one if you want to have a go at sewing curves, but be warned they can be addictive.
The below tutorial on YouTube may help you if you are a newbie to curved sewing.
If you are interested in purchasing this pattern just follow the link to my shop. The pattern comes with instructions to make the templates but you can purchase the Modern Blossom acrylic templates in the shop if you prefer.
I hope you enjoy making this pattern as much as I do!
