Once I made the Blossoming Garden Quilt I knew I needed to make a baby version.
My oldest daughter had recently had our first granddaughter and I was really enjoying making baby quilts for her.
I like a bigger baby quilt, one that you can lay on the ground at home or when you go out, so the baby can have some tummy time, with enough room that they can safely roll around.
All of my baby quilts are around the 50″ square, I find this is the perfect size.
This quilt uses your stash of fat quarters, fat eighths and fat sixteenths.
It’s a great quilt for a beginner project if you are learning to sew curves.
The circles are appliquéd onto the quilt top, you can use whichever method you prefer, there are instructions for the raw edge method in the pattern.
If you are new to curved piecing check out this Youtube video tutorial for some tips.
I think this is a really fun quilt and I think it will be loved by the new additions in your life.
