This quilt is made up of EPP hexagons, sewn together by hand and originally hand quilted but then i decided to throw it on the longarm and add some feathery texture to it.

The quilting is very elegant, befitting such a beautiful quilt.
How did you finish the edges? Is it a solid back turned under each edge or are there hexies on the backside edge attached to a solid? I could not figure out how you got such a great finished look.
And did you use batting?
Thanks a lot.
Carolyn Murfitt says
Hello Jan,
I used a really thin batting and cut it back around the edges and then turned both the backing edge and top edge inside the quit and top stitched. Hope that makes sense.

I absolutely love Kaffe Fassett fabric. Your piece is beautiful. A friend introduced me to hexies just yesterday. I’ve seen them before, but didn’t have the time with family, work etc. I’m now retired and looking forward to a new project.

Hello Diane,
I love Kaffe Fassett fabric too, could be a bit of an addiction!
I am sure you will have fun making your hexes.
