Giveaway Quilt

I have so many coloured scraps left over from my RJR Fabrics ‘what shade are you blog hop’ that I decided to make and giveaway a wall quilt to say thank you to all of my lovely IG friends.

I asked on IG what thread they thought I should use to quilt the grey fabric area, grey or purple.

I am going to count up there responses and then quilt in the thread that is requested the most.

I counted up the responses and they were pretty much even, so I decided to be the tie breaker and go for the grey, hoping I wouldn’t disappoint the purple thread lovers too much.

I decided on a quilting design that included circle shapes with flowers and leaves coming off them, I am calling it my blossoming moon pattern.

I used clear thread to stitch in the ditch and then matched each coloured section to a matching thread.

I am really happy with the way it turned out!
