I first got the idea for this quilting design when I saw my daughters henna designs on her hand and wrist.
I very quickly, one afternoon, made the quilt top choosing Tula Pinks fabric because I thought it gave the same look as the one I was trying to create with this quilting pattern.
I made the petals and circles and ironed them to the fabric with visa flex.
I chose to sew them to the quilt top with the longarm saving precious time.
I decided to double batt this quilt using 2 layers of Hobbs Batting 80/20 in black and used Aurifil Mako 50 2625.

Love love this quilt. I am just wondering what Fabric line the solids are from, if you remember what they are.
Thank you for the inspiration

Hello Penny,
I am not sure, maybe Kona. Does Tula have a range of solids now? If she does, they would be a perfect match but I think you would be able to find a matching solid fabric in most solid ranges.
Best wishes

Thank you for taking time to reply Carolyn. I will take a look at the Kona selection

Love this quilt!!! I like the idea of sewing the applique on with the long arm, I wish I would have seen this thread earlier. I am making a wreath of flowers and I stitched the applique with my mini thinking the long arm would pull them off. knowing this will make the next one go a bit quicker.
