Do you need a fun modern baby quilt or maybe a quilt for a tween?
I think this quilt could be perfect for both baby, tween and adult!
I am slightly addicted to curved piecing at the moment, I find it quite therapeutic. Even if you are new to curved piecing, I think this could be a good one to start with because the curves are a good beginners size.
This quilt only uses 4 main fabrics and one background fabric, making it easy to use your favourite colours in this quilt.
I have a YouTube video on curved piecing which is a great for quilters new to curves, just click on the link below.
I have made both a lap and baby size Jelly Beans quilt.
For the lap size I used the Spotted Graffiti fabric pictured below.
The instructions for this quilt have lots of coloured diagrams and tables that make it easy to understand how to put this quilt together.
Once the quilt was pieced I quilted an edge to edge design called Jessicas Vidalia.
I was really happy with the finished quilt, I love this fabric and I think it really showcased how fun this quilt can be.
Next I wanted to make a baby boy quilt.
I have not found many fun and funky boys quilt patterns on the market and I think todays mums would appreciate something fresh and modern.
The pattern has detailed ironing instructions so all of your seams will nest perfectly.
I think this quilt is great for a baby boy, it’s both fresh and modern and fits perfectly under a playpen.
This quilt pattern comes in a baby, large lap and queen size quilts.
Acrylic templates can be purchased for the pattern as an add on if desired.
Just follow these links to both the pattern and template set.
