****** Pattern now available in shop*******
I was lucky enough to have these fabulous colour saturated Me+you batiks from Hoffman Fabrics to create this quilt.
These batiks are perfect for a raw edge quilt.
This design called for lots of little pieces of applique.
I lay the pieces onto the quilt top, to check the colours and shapes were balanced.
I matched all of the thread colours to the fabrics and begun quilting.
So many little pieces to quilt, they look like little jewels!
The beautiful Dresden Plate is the perfect quilted centre.
I loved quilting these circles.
And finally the finished quilt, I love it!!
Pattern for this one is now available in the shop!

Hi Carolyn
I love this pattern! Is it raw edge appliqué? It doesn’t look like it from what I can see. More like needle turn??
Regards
Caroline

I bought this pattern. Instructions say to check this site to see if there have been any pattern corrections. I am not finding a place for pattern corrections, so I am hoping that is because there are none.
Secondly, I am wondering why there is not a pattern template shape for number 7 included. We just make it up for ourselves?
Carolyn Murfitt says
Hello Julie,
Thank you for your comment. The patterns corrections is found in the ‘shops’ tab. There is one correction for this pattern, please see below….Modern Mandala
Page 6 of 14
Instruction number 4
Due to the centre dresden plates {both pointy and curved} finished sized being determined by the sewing machines 1/4 inch foot and stretch of fabric it is best too lay the dresden plate first onto the corner of the fabric quadrant allowing for a 1/4 inch seam. Then lay your ‘joining’ shapes to determine if the 7″ distance from the corner is correct or if it need to be 7 1/2 inches depending on the finished size of the dresden plate. Once you have determined the distance, so that your dresden plate does not overlap the joining pieces, remove the dresden and continue onto instruction 5.
There is no Template 7 for this pattern.
Best wishes
