1. Seed Burst Paper Pattern plus Acrylic Template
$26.00
This pattern includes the Acrylic Seed template.
This is my first pattern that I have released, it embodies everything I like in a quilt.
I love to make quilts that are easy, modern and colorful. I knew I wanted to create a quilt that burst with all of the above, hence my ‘Seed Burst’ quilt.
The instructions are for the quick modern ‘faux’ applique method using interfacing to secure the applique pieces and then sewn into place by Machine.
For this quilt I used 21 brightly coloured fabrics and cut 3 seeds per colour, 4 for one colour, arranging them around the seed burst pattern to give a good balance of colour and light and shade.
Check out the other ‘Seed Burst’ quilts I have made in the ‘My Quilt Pattern’ Section of the home page for more ideas of other colour and fabric combinations.

Description
Fabric Notes
To achieve a “burst” effect, remember to choose “seed” colors that standout from your background. Your “Seeds” may be cut from either fat quarters or strips. Yardages are based on fabric with a minimum width of 40”.
Fat Quarters:
Use 11 different fat quarters, cutting 6 seeds from each fat quarter (extra fabric is perfect for seeds for a pillow sham!). One fat quarter yields 10 seeds.
OR
Strips:
Use 16 different 4½” wide strips of fabric making 4 seeds per strip of fabric. One 4½” strip of fabric (40” wide) yields about 4 – 5 seeds.
Material (provided by you):
The material list includes yardages for both Lap and Queen Comforter quilts.
