************ Seed Burst Quilt is available in my ‘Shop’ ********
This is my first pattern that I have released, it embodies everything I like in a quilt.
Its modern, colourful and easy to make!
For this quilt I chose to use the cotton supreme solids from RJR Fabrics.
I used 21 brightly coloured fabrics and cut 3 seeds per colour, 4 for one colour, arranging them around the seed burst to give a good balance of colour and light and shade.
I sewed them onto the background using a matching thread and then quilted them with all different flowers.
For the rest of the quilt I went with a mixture of swirly flowers and pebbles.
Finally, it was finished and I could take it off the longarm and see how it all came together. I was happy with the result.
Bound and hanging in the sunshine.
If you would like all of the instructions to make this quilt, you can purchase the pattern in the ‘Shop’ section of the top menu bar. Link to: “Seed Burst Pattern”

Lynn says
What is the size of the seeds? Do the size of the seeds change depending on the size of quilt or do you just use less seeds?
Carolyn Murfitt says
Hello lyn,
The seeds are approximately 8 inches long.
The amount and or size does not change, a border is added to increase the size of the quilt.
Best wishes
Carolyn
