******** This Flowering Wreath Pattern is available in my ‘Shop’ ***********
When I was approached by Ella Blue Fabrics to make a ‘Flowering Wreath’ quilt from the latest fabric collection by Leanne Beasley of Leanneshouse called ‘Spring Mischief’, I thought it was a match made in heaven.
I only had ten days to make, quilt and bind the quilt so it could be shipped to Houston for Quilt Market.
I knew it would be quite the rush so I decided to make this quilt with raw edge appliqué.
Let me share with you some pictures of my progress.
I really enjoy the process of cutting up the petals and leaves.
I lay them out onto the backing fabric, this does not have to be a stressful process of getting them all into the perfect position, I view it as a real flowering wreath and accept that each square is going to have a slightly different layout.
The pieces all laid out and backing fabric squares are all joined.
The back ground fabric is the most beautiful soft pink linen, it was heaven to quilt.
Lots of quilting photos!
