Springtime Flowers Quilt Pattern.

The Springtime Flowers Quilt came about because I wanted to make a statement quilt for my bed, a modern graphic quilt filled with flowers that could also show off the quilting, whether it be custom or a beautiful edge to edge design.

The quilt is 92″ approx. finished size, which will be perfect for a queen bed and fit beautifully on my king size bed also.

I chose four of my favourite Alison Glass fabrics and then paired them with co-ordinating fabrics in different ranges. The background fabric I chose was a grey crosshatch pattern, it really complimented the other fabrics perfectly.

The fabric requirements are as follows:

Flower 1	¾ yard
Flower 2	¾ yard
Flower 3	¾ yard
Flower 4	¾ yard
Flower Buds	¾ yard
Leaves	½ yard
Bud Circles	1 Fat Quarter
Flower Centre Arc	½ yard
Flower Centre Square	1 Fat Quarter
Background Fabric	6¼ yards
Binding	⅞ yard 10 x 2½” x WOF binding strips

I love acrylic templates when I am cutting drunkards path blocks, you can cut so many at one time that it really cuts down the cutting time, you can purchase acrylic templates specifically for this pattern in my shop.

The pattern instructs you to make all of the curved blocks first with clear instructions on piecing and ironing directions.
